Nobody's Sweetheart is one the Pacific Northwest's premier variety-rock cover bands! Based in Portland, Oregon, their high-energy performances of immediately recognizable and danecable hits from the 70's, 80's and beyond will get everyone up and dancing! Perfect for your next event!
Bob Brown-Bass Guitar:
At the age of 12, Bob noticed that when he heard songs on the radio, it was the bass guitar that stood out to him more than any other did. "I think the weight and power of those low frequencies just really sounded good to my ears". Born in Portland and self-taught, Bob has been a member of several local area performing bands before joining Nobody's Sweetheart. "Playing with musicians of this caliber is a lot of fun, and I think it shows on stage. It makes me look forward to the next performance".
Michelle Kuepker-Lead Vocals:
Hailing from a small town in Kansas, Michelle has had her microphone in the Portland music scene for many years, singing in original bands such as Unplain Jane of the late 80’s, and The Dave Berg Band of the early 90’s. Most recently, Michelle gained the majority of her popularity while performing at over 600 events with Global FM. Michelle is thrilled about working with Nobody’s Sweetheart. She specializes in lead vocals, and also adds percussion and dance moves to her performance, which is always contagious.
Hal Logan-Drums and Vocals:
Born and raised in Moscow, Idaho, Hal came from a very musical family. He studied piano at eight, got his first drum set for Christmas when he was 10, and was gigging around the area by 13. He toured with The Crosstown Rivals and The Senders in the 80s, playing throughout the northwest, and wrote over 30 jingles for the local radio station. Hal’s performance experience ranges from new wave, classic rock, and country, to modern swing, traditional jazz, and Broadway musicals. He has also sung solos with chamber orchestras, big bands, and acappella groups. In addition to his duties with Nobody’s Sweetheart, Hal currently writes and performs music for the local Portland theater scene, and teaches Music Technology at the University of Portland.
Michael Radi-Keyboards and Backing Guitar:
Mike started playing guitar when he was 11 years old, switched over to keyboards when he was 13, and played his first professional gig at 15. Two weeks after graduating from High School, Mike was recruited by an established road band and spent the rest of that year on the nightclub circuit in Louisiana and New Mexico. Melding his mechanical abilities and musical background, Mike learned the art of piano tuning and worked at most of the rock concerts in San Diego where he mingled with many rock stars. These connections helped Mike become the touring keyboardist for The Bus Boys (48 hours, Ghostbusters, Saturday Night Live). That lineup included Vic Johnson of Sammy Hagar’s band and Reggie Leon of Sha Na Na. For two years, Mike had the pleasure of playing with the late-great saxophonist Johnny Almond (John Mayall’s Blues Breakers, Mark-Almond Band, Billy Joel, Rolling Stones). Mike has played in nearly every kind of pop/rock band you can imagine, but his true love is classic rock with an emphasis on keyboards.
Joe Rutledge-Lead Guitar and Background Vocals:
Joe acquired an interest in guitar at the age of six when his parents gave him a plastic toy guitar for Christmas. Obsessed with it, he played it day and night until it broke. It was then that he learned a valuable lesson…always have backup guitars! Primarily a self-taught guitarist, he is heavily influenced by Eric Clapton, B.B. King, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and Neal Schon. Joe was a member in several popular S.F. Bay Area cover/original bands during the 80’s & 90’s and played venues throughout California ranging from Bakersfield to Yreka. His most fond memories of music include playing for regional headliners and gaining friendships through music. He relocated to Portland in 1995.

“We wanted a fun band for our wedding celebration in an outdoor venue this summer and NOBODY’S SWEETHEART was perfect. They were professional, organized, and flexible with the timing of the event. We LOVED the fact that they took the time to learn some new songs at our request to make the evening that much more meaningful. A great group with a wide variety of music to keep people on the dance floor.”

"What can I say about “NOBODY’S SWEETHEART” but Fun, Fantastic and Full of Energy!! We have had Nobody’s Sweetheart perform at Rock Creek Country Club twice and I look forward to another opportunity to have them again very soon. Very professional, succinct in communication, and reasonable in cost. They will put a smile on everyone’s face from opening tune to closing ballad."

"The first time we saw Nobody’s Sweetheart we knew that we’d found the band for our wedding. They play a fantastic mix of music. Everyone said it was the best wedding they’d ever attended. The guys are great and really have fun as they get the people out on the dance floor. We try to see them often and cannot recommend them highly enough for their professionalism and their great variety of music.”

"When we started looking for a band for the Newberg Relay for Life Fundraiser, we wanted a band that could motivate the people to feel good and love our event. When the music began, we realized that we had made the correct choice. The 2011 Relay for Life event was the most successful so far. I credit that in large part to the band. Everyone is professional and personable, and they perform a variety of music to keep everyone dancing throughout the evening. I highly recommend this band. You will not be disappointed!!”
